Writing your own Biography may be the hardest excersice in literature that I've ever had to attempt.  Firstly, I am a Military Brat, born in Germany in 1984 and raised all over the United States, primarily in California for Elementary School and then Columbia, South Carolina for Middle and High School. I attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as did my mother, where I majored in English Literature with a concentration on African American Literature pre-Harlem Renaissance.  Go HEELS!  

 

I moved to NYC in the Summer of 2009 and have lived in Harlem for most of those years (did a two year stint in Brooklyn but the travel time was killer)

 

For a "Survival Job," I bartend and wait tables at a Piano Bar in Hell's Kitchen where I also get the opportunity to pursue another of my loves, Musical Theater! Shocking, I know. A gay man who loves the Broadway. But I'm a sucker for a Showtune and Bernadette Peters is my spirit animal. I've done many many community theater shows over the years, but in NYC have focused on creating theater as opposed to performing in it.

 

I have the love and support of my partner of nearly five years, who is also a tremendous writer in his own right. He writes plays and screenplays and along with me and few of our close friends is a co-founder of {Your Name Here} A Queer Theater.  Together we seek to create a safe theatrical place for Queer artists and performers of every walk of life to tell their stories and have their voices heard.  It is a great joy and a passion of mine to have been a part of this wonderful Theater experience. Aside from these, my interests vary wildly.  I am a love of long epic HIgh Fantasy novels, (Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, George RR Martin, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson) as well as other influences like the amazing James Baldwin.  I live life to the best of my ability and I write the stories and characters that speak to me. 

 

I am new to writing fiction. I never dreamed anyone would want to read the stories and people I carried around inside my heart until I took a leap of faith and posted my first story to Literotica in Late January 2015. Since then, I have become the #1 rated author on that site for the M/M Gay Male Genre and recently became the top rated author over all.
